Updated August 15, 2021, by Matthew Mckeown: Firaxis’s classic turn-based strategy game has been given a new life with all the various unique and interesting mods the community has created for it over the years. Here is a collection of some of the most essential mods to make any further War of the Chosen playthroughs feel fresh and new. Some are basic UI tweaks or simple gameplay adjustments others are major overhauls that could be considered spin-offs all on their own. Gamers have expanded even further on the game through mods over the years.

The base XCOM games are a blast, full of deep tactical gameplay and a decent amount of customization. RELATED: The Classes in XCOM: Enemy Within & XCOM 2: WOTC, Ranked They also released a spinoff, XCOM: Chimera Squad, last year. Not content to just release a good sequel, Firaxis stepped up to the plate and hit another home run with the massive War of the Chosen expansion, which has been regarded as, essentially, XCOM 2.5.
#XCOM 2 WORLD STATS HOW TO#
Though I do like the idea of having very low vision on most of my troops, and then having the rangers with huge vision range by having them wear different armour.įinally - I have no idea what I'm doing, when someone comes out with a nice guide for how to make things place nicely when modifying the same classes, I will try to update this to make sure it is as compatible as possible, but there's no guarantee.XCOM 2, upon its initial release, was met with high praise and was regarded as a step up from its predecessor, a successful reboot of a long-dormant franchise. You can also set vision to very low numbers, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this. Sight Radius at high values may cause some "cutscenes" to play earlier than anticipated due to you being granted vision of the objective earlier than expected.
You can set negative values if you choose.
#XCOM 2 WORLD STATS MOD#
The stats in the mod are set to each armor's defaults, there is no balancing done here, the stats that this mod does add are entirely up to you. Updated to work correctly without Resistance Warrior DLC. Updated to support Alien Hunter DLC armors. Make sure, to be on the safe side, that you empty the extra utility slots or set your soldiers to use the Kevlar armor before doing this, just to make sure there are no weird hiccups. If you want to use this mod with a save that uses Armor Utility Slots, then I recommend trying the Ignore Missing Content Mod and disabling Armor Utility Slots. Not compatibile with: Armor Utility Slots however this mod contains the same functionality (and more of course). If another mod completely overrides these templates however, then this mod simply won't do anything. It shouldn't affect save games, but if you are going to use this with a save game, I imagine it would be better to load on the base, rather than in the middle of a mission as I'm not sure how it will handle potentially changing values (e.g If you used this to add 10 HP, but removing it would put your soldier on -3). However, it adds new stat abilities to each armour piece, so any mod that modifies those abilities won't actually have any effect, however any mods that add additional abilities to a piece of armour (for example, adding Grapple to Kevlar armor) should work as expected. This mod edits templates that are already created, so any other mods that also use these templates should still work. To configure you'll need to open up the configuration file called XComArmorStatCustomiser.ini To install, unzip the file to \XCOM 2\XComGame\Mods\
Control Immunity (Mental effects and Stuns) Health Regeneration (and maximum regeneration per mission) Shield (Like the Shield Bearer provides)
This mod allows for much greater customisation in what stats are granted by Armour, as well as if the armor grants an additional utility slot or not.
